[Taipei] Qingtiangang 擎天崗

 

Qingtiangang is located in Yangmingsang National Park and it is the first stop in JoR's "Wild hot spring trip".
In the sunny day, it is comfortable place for walking and picnic on this vast grassland. At night, it is also a perfect place near the Taipei city zone to look at the stars without light pollution. Although the day we visited Qingtiangang is a cloudy day, taking a walk in hazy drizzle is also a romantic way to explore the beauty of Qingtiangang, isn’t it? 

Qingtiangang is a lava terrace formed when the lava from Mt. Zhugao flowed north after its eruption. Because of its flat terrain, a ranch was established and the area was used as a pasture for grazing cattle during the Japanese occupation. So till now, we can see those cattle living in Qingtiangang grassland. If you have chance to visit Qingtiangang next time, don’t forget to say hello to them.

If you have exercise habits, do you worry about cannot find a gym while travelling?

In Taiwan, there are some equipment built in the community park. So you can have body gym easily, everywhere and anytime!

[Taoyuan] Bald Cypress forest in Bade 桃園八德落羽松

 

A thick bald cypress forest in a private land of Taoyuan Bade. Along with the weather turns cold, the color of leaves become yellow, red and brown stealthily.

   

Do you want to lie in the soft leaves to experience the atmosphere of winter? Luckily, the forest is open for tourist visit. This Bald Cypress forest is also attracted lots of photographic enthusiast to capture the best moment in every December to January.

《Upcoming event: Wild River Hot Spring at Mt. Yangming on Jan/9 》

Wild River Hot Spring trip comes again!!!

We will host a whole day event combining hiking and picnic on mountain hill, hot spring in wild field river, and taste stir-fried food in typical Taiwanese style restaurant.
As it is X'mas season, we also want to have gift exchange party on the mountain hill.
These places are all JoR's private collections. We believe all friends join us will have an unforgettable day during your visit in Taiwan.

Meet up Place: Exit 1 of MRT Beitou Station

Plan: 

Ching-Tian-Kang on Mt. Yangming. Ching-Tian-Kang is a big grass plant in Yangming Mountain National Park. Have a short walk on this wide view plant, and play gift exchange game when we have lunch picnic. 

Ba-Yien Hot spring. A wild river hot spring which located near Ba-Yien tribe. Walking through a secrete small trail, we will enjoy cold river water and hot spring at the same time. If lucky, we will meet spring doggy “Dor Dor” to company with you

 

Dinner at Taiwanese style stir-fried restaurant.

Never eat stir-fried food and drink Taiwan Beer, you can’t say you ever visited Taiwan. Let’s have a Taiwanese style dinner after a whole day trip.

 

What you prepare in advanced

-          Fee: NTD $1500 (includes Our gguide, transportation fee, picnic food, and dining)

-          Recommend to prepare towel, 1 suite of clean clothes, or swimming suite. (Please be noted that no shower place beside wild river)
